Sleek Magazine – Dog Days

For our short film accompanying the SLEEK Magazine editorial, we explored the rebellious spirit of punk, not merely as an aesthetic but as an attitude rooted in nonconformity, individuality and the deliberate choice to be different. Drawing from a subculture that shaped my own youth and perspective, we developed a visual narrative around the idea of being an outsider by choice, a foreign element within an otherwise familiar environment. Shot entirely on Super 8mm alongside the photographic series, the film captures our five protagonists within everyday surroundings, contrasting their bold, stylized appearances with the ordinary world around them. Embracing the raw, imperfect texture of analog film, we created a series of fleeting, observational moments that reflect the spontaneity, individuality and unapologetic attitude at the heart of punk culture.
