About
For BERQ’s LAMIA, the opening chapter of his album TRAUTONIUM, we developed a visual narrative exploring the moment when our inner emotional world begins to affect physical reality. Set on an ordinary city street at dusk, the film follows BERQ as his desire to escape begins to manifest physically. He repeatedly attempts to lift himself off the ground, rising a little higher each time. The wind seems to anticipate his movements, as though the environment itself is responding to his emotions, blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination. Combining carefully composed, cinematic imagery with subtle absurdity and understated humour, we wanted to expand BERQ’s visual universe into something more mature while preserving its playful character.
