Berq – Rote Flaggen

For BERQ’s single ROTE FLAGGEN, the second release from his EP of the same name, we developed a visual approach rooted in the idea of stylized short films, translating the emotional essence of his music into abstract, metaphorical narratives. Built around a single location and conceived as a continuous, uninterrupted shot, the film embraces a reduced yet carefully composed aesthetic, allowing subtle gestures and atmospheric details to carry the narrative. Shot entirely on 16mm, its grainy, organic texture reinforces a sense of rawness and authenticity. Rather than relying on conventional storytelling, we focused on the unspoken, creating a dark, intimate and emotionally charged world where subtext becomes more important than action.
