The visual concept we proposed for our aesthetic approach toward the portrait shot of Cora Corré for Sleek Magazine is based on a playful, intimate portrayal of Cora while contrasting a close, honest camera with a somewhat stylized studio setting. This idea places our Shooting-Set-Up in a daylight studio, where we aim to work with natural light providing strong contrast that we aim to enhance to achieve our anticipated stylized yet honest look.
Working with nude and warm colors juxtaposition-posing those with black-and-white photos of the same set, we emphasize the classic character of portraits while breaking up our playful approach. As we shot everything on film, we used color film as full spreads and a series based on our black-and-white negatives.
