Ahzumjot‘
Drei Uhr Nachts
(16.07.2021)
The overarching aesthetic concept for the visual campaign we created together with our friends 27bucks for German Rap-Artist Ahzumjot is defined by the idea of a life cycle, a specific part of the artist's life, falling into darkness just rising again – the theme of dusk, night and dawn. Carefully divided chapters build the structure of our narrative. Emerging from chaos and anger, the metaphorical war in heaven, he falls into the calmness of nothing, leading to uncertainty while balancing it out on a limp to catch this spark of hope, being reborn in into the warm tenderness of peace to step into a new cycle of a book unwritten. Summing up those chapters, the idea of a silver lining seems to be the core message of our story's end, which is the dream of a modern Eden, that's tender redefining the archetypical image of a male artist in German Rap.
Based on this warm-yet-raw approach to our narrative, it felt evident to us to shoot all films on 16mm film, enriching the imagery with this authenticity and a real feeling that a digital surface couldn't provide.
